Privacy Policy

RV Match ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by Nichele Co. LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the RV Match web application at our Netlify-hosted URL (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

1. Information We Collect

RV Match is designed to collect as little personal information as possible. Here is what the App may collect:

• Quiz answers: Your responses to the 8-step questionnaire (party size, tow vehicle type, RV type preference, budget, usage frequency, camping style, sleeping capacity, and zip code). These are used solely to generate your RV matches.
• Zip code: Used to generate local inventory search links. We do not store your zip code on our servers.
• Saved matches: If you heart/save an RV match, that data is stored locally in your browser using localStorage. It never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us.
• Towing calculator inputs: If you use our Towing Calculator and save your truck specs, that data is stored locally in your browser using localStorage. It is never transmitted to us or any third party.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your quiz answers (including zip code) are transmitted to Anthropic's Claude API to generate personalized RV recommendations. We do not store, log, or retain your quiz answers on our servers after the match is generated. The following describes how your data flows:

• You complete the quiz and click "Find My Matches"
• Your answers are sent to our Netlify serverless function
• The function forwards your answers to Anthropic's API
• Anthropic returns match recommendations, which are displayed to you
• No quiz data is stored by us at any point in this process

3. Third-Party Services

RV Match uses the following third-party services:

• Anthropic (Claude API): Your quiz answers are processed by Anthropic to generate RV recommendations. Anthropic's use of data is governed by their Privacy Policy. We use API access, which Anthropic does not use to train models.
• Netlify: Our App is hosted on Netlify. Netlify may collect standard server logs (IP addresses, browser type, pages accessed) as part of normal hosting operations. See Netlify's Privacy Policy.
• Google Fonts: We use Google Fonts for typography. Google may collect data as part of this service. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Amazon (Affiliate Link): Our App contains a link to a book on Amazon. Nicholas Terry, the author of this book and operator of this App, may earn royalties or commissions from purchases made through this link. Amazon may set cookies or collect data when you visit their site. See Amazon's Privacy Policy. We are required by the FTC to disclose this relationship.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

RV Match uses browser localStorage (not cookies) to save your favorited RV matches and towing calculator truck specs on your own device. This data:

• Never leaves your device
• Is not accessible to us or any third party
• Can be cleared at any time through your browser settings or the "Clear all saved" button in the App

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any cookies for analytics or marketing purposes.

5. Children's Privacy

RV Match is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

6. California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Because we do not sell personal information and do not retain personal data on our servers, our data practices are minimal. You have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information). 7. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical measures to protect data in transit, including HTTPS encryption on all connections. Because we do not store personal data on our servers, the risk of a data breach affecting your quiz answers is minimal.

8. External Links

Our App contains links to third-party websites including Amazon and RV inventory sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
